THE MARKETS OF THE NEW EUROPE: INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO EXIT THE CRISIS These markets represent an important destination for Italian exports and an interesting field for productive investments. Russia is one of the most important markets worldwide, being rich in energy resources and raw materials. Ukraine, multicultural country with great traditions and trade, is strategically situated in the heart of Eastern Europe with the Republic of Moldova. Italy is in Romania, for over 10 years, the leading investor country in the number of registered companies (about 28,000), and the EU accession in 2007 granted resources financial represented by the Structural Funds: an extraordinary opportunity for Romanian companies with Italian partners, being able to participate to direct calls. The event will begin with greetings from the President of Confartigianato Udine, Carlo Faleschini, followed the intervention of Gian Carlo D. Murkovic, President of ACCOA, who will provide the audience an overview about the economic and geopolitical situation of the area. Aurel Tanase, Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Romania, will show what are the specific investment opportunities for companies in Romania. Following, Maria Birsan, an analyst at Global Marketing, will discuss tools for setting up businesses in the area. Then Luca Rastello, administrator of Rastello Group, will focus on the potential business from the Structural Funds in Romania.
