They were held respectively on 5 and 9 February, the meetings of President ACCOA Gian Carlo Damir Murkovic at the Chambers of Commerce in Zagreb and Belgrade. Both stages in the two countries have served to strengthen relationships with major institutions in Croatia and Serbia.

In Zagreb president Murkovic met the counterpart of the Zagreb County Chamber Zlatan Fröhlich with whom it was underlined the excellent relationship between ACCOA and Zagreb Chamber. Among the various topics touched upon during the meeting also those of European design and some of the Croatian industry promotion events in Italy and vice versa.

The meeting in Belgrade between president Murkovic and Nenad Murkovic Budimović, Secretary of the Association of farmers and the food chain of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce has served to talk about possible collaborations between Italian, Serbian and from the whole area companies in the food field without forgetting the important aspect of  entrepreneurs’ training.

The ceremony of Belarus National Day took place on the 9th of September 2015 at Expo in Milan. The celebration day began with the official raising of the flag at the Belarus Pavilion inside EXPO. During the afternoon Belorussian Prime Minister Andrei V. Kobyakov and Prof. Romano Prodi participated in the convention “Belarus: European partner  Eurasian market” at Milan Stock Exchange. During the meeting many testimonies of some important Italian enterprises were reported. These companies are working with Belarus for many years, including banking groups and engineering businesses. It was underlined the mediation role played nowadays by Belarus both in the Ukrainian crisis management and as a link for the enterprises above all with the Eurasian markets, Russia and Kazakhstan, with whom they struck the deal for the Eurasian common market many years ago. 

Then, an official meeting concluded the day at the hotel “Principe di Savoia”.

Both president of ACCOA Gian Carlo Murkovic, and vice secretary general Valerio G. Fratelli, participated in the meetings, considering the importance of the historical bond, which links ACCOA with the Republic of Belarus.  

The opportunity to exchange ideas, best practices and connections for creating new business partnerships was the core of the CEI Business Forum held in Skopje, Macedonia, on 25th and 26th November 2015 at the Continental Hotel. The major topic of the venue was the result of the joint working among the Government of the Republic of Macedonia (i.e. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and  Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy), the Central European Initiative (CEI), ACCOA and USAID. As the title of the forum, the proceedings have been entirely dedicated to the promotion of competitiveness in the agribusiness sector of CEI member countries, in order to increase cooperation in the sector.
